Born in 1962 in Cagliari, Italy, Roberto Casula knew little, that he will one of the most important employees of Eni Spa. In 1988, from the University of Cagliari, he completed his graduation and got a degree in Mining Engineering. This lead to him getting appointed as a reservoir engineer in Agip Spa, a job he continued till 1991.
Life before becoming chief development operations and technical officer
Apart from working for three years as a reservoir engineer, he started his new duties as a Petroleum engineer along with his previous job title. His career took a flight after he returned to San Donato headquarters where he was employed as Production as well as development coordinator. His job was to take care of business activities that took place in Middle Asian and West African countries. A new chapter began in 2000 for this individual.
From 2000 to 2014
In the year 2000, he was appointed as Manager of Technical Services whose handled activities in Iran. In 2001, he had to move to Tehran in Iran due to a project of gas production after he assumed the role of Project Director. This professional path carried till 2004, after which he became the MD of Eni Mediterranea Idrocarburi SpA that is situated in Gela, which is a city in Sicily, Italy.
However, the next year Roberto Casula moved to Tripoli, Libya’s capital as Eni North Africa’s managing director. The rise continued which lead him to move back to Italy in 2007 as Saharan Africa’s Vice President.
In December of 2011, he was offered the position of Executive VP in Exploration and Production Department where his responsibilities extended to involve the whole of Middle East and African continent.
Becoming Chief Development, Operation and Technical Officer
After many remarkable feats in his professional career, he was appointed as head development operation and technical officer of Eni Spa in June of 2014. Roberto Casula had a remarkable career with Eni Spa that leads him to gain ample experience and reach ultimate success.
